Frederick Holmes

Frederick Holmes was a photographer with a studio in Castle Street during the first quarter of the 20th century. His shop is on the right, with an awning over the window. He produced a great quantity of picture postcards of Mere and he is famous for his photograph of lightning, taken at Mere in 1906, which won a competition.
