Lordsmead Mill was originally a corn mill. In the early 19th
century it was a flax mill and then used by the local silk-spinning
industry. Between 1925 and 1935, the Hill Brush Company was there
and the old mill wheel was used to provide power for their machines.
The building is now a private house. |
