Woodlands Manor

Woodlands Manor, on the southern outskirts of Mere, is a Grade 1 listed building. It dates from about 1370 and a fine timbered-roofed hall and a first-floor chapel are the oldest parts. For nearly 400 years it was the home of the Doddington family. It has undergone many renovations but it remains a most attractive old house set in delightful gardens. It is not open to the public.
